Swan bound for Norway...

July 1st 2014

Sail trainees from Shetland left Lerwick Harbour onboard Swan early this morning and are making good headway towards the Norwegian coast.  Swan is travelling to join a twenty-four strong fleet of similar vessels carrying over 300 crew members to take part in Nordisk Sjelads.  Host port locations include Stavern, Skarhamn and Aalborg.

We wish all trainees and crew happy sailing!

Here is a picture of everyone on deck last night.  Front left to right, sail trainees Lisa Moncrieff, John Robinson, Molly Brindley, Bryden Jacobsen, Abi Marples, Bronagh Goodlad, Curstaidh MacKay, Caelen Rivett, Jordan Scott and Callum Tait.  Crew members for voyage are shown back left to right, Robert Wishart, Peter Campbell, Ailish Parham, Scott Sandison (Bosun) and Rory Johnson (Skipper).
