Sail Training Shetland
This trip has been amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.
The trip on the Swan...has been one of the most amazing experiences in my life
This opportunity has been a complete eye opener for me and I can only hope to do something like this again
It’s hard to think that 12 days ago we didn’t know each other at all but now were like a family sharing laughs and mischief
We have so many memories to share; the magic of the Mareel, the plunging waves and gales leaving us with salt swept hair

Swan gets underway for Hartlepool again
Following an unfortunate return to Kristiansand on Sunday evening after one of the sail trainees, Jason Bryant from Lerwick, fell ill, the Swan set sail again for Hartlepool at around 0800hrs this morning – Tuesday 3 August 2010.
Weather conditions were good - light WSW 3 winds, with the Swan leaving the Port under engine and main sail.
Jason spent the night in hospital and had made a full recovery by Monday evening when he was discharged back into the care of the Swan crew.
Spirits onboard the Swan are high after a great few days in Kristiansand with all the trainees and crew wishing Jason well for his return flights home later today accompanied by his mother.
The Swan should arrive in Hartlepool later this week along with the rest of the Tall Ships fleet in time to experience the host port activities.
