Supporting Youth Sail Training
Fundraising is a great way to support us and raise awareness about the life changing impacts that sail training offers our young people. There are lots of ways you can contribute towards our efforts, from traditional fundraising activities, events and charity donations while you shop online.
By donating, you are funding priceless experiential learning opportunities for young people to improve their teamwork and communication skills, develop self-confidence and other vital life skills.
We are delighted that you too are passionate about supporting sail training and there is so much that you can do!
Keep it simple and offer a personal donation, legacy amount or one off payment through our secure donations processing page. Don’t forget to Gift Aid which can boost your donation by 25% at no cost to you.
You could take on a fundraising challenge, such as an birthday fundraiser, creating your own online page and attracting donations towards your target. It is quick and easy to set up a fundraising page.
The simplest way to raise funds – simply shop online as you normally do and the retailer will make a donation on your behalf. Easyfundraising partners with over 7,000 brands who donate a part of what you spend to your charity of choice. It doesn’t cost you any extra, the cost is covered by the brand.
To set up Easyfundraising by opening an account and you will be given an option to install a browser extension which is called a “Donation Reminder”. It will pop up on every retailer site where a donation is available which means you don’t have to remember to come to easyfundraising first! Download the App from the Apple or Google Play stores to use Easyfundraising on your mobile.
Beyond the Tall Ships Races, we work closely with many grant funders, local businesses and Trusts who partner with us to help young people benefit from a sail training experience. If you are interested to partner with us, visit our sponsor page for more details. We are happy to have a discussion to tailor a sponsorship package just for you.
Alongside these all the funding sources we are fortunate to be able to access, we are exploring ways that our available funds can be put to good use to expand our schemes to further the development of vital life skills that can change a young person’s trajectory. These programmes would support more time within a sail training experiential learning environment for those that want to pursue a career at sea. That could be through ongoing annual support or partnering on specific schemes. If you are interested to get involved, we would be delighted to hear from you.
