Sail Training Shetland Launches New Website

March 9th 2010

Sail Training Shetland is pleased to announce the launch of its new website which has kindly been sponsored by NB Communication Ltd.

To coincide with the website launch, the charity recently distributed over 1000 information flyers to schools, youth clubs and leisure centres and other key facilities around Shetland inviting young people to find out more about Sail Training and apply for annual opportunities to take part in The Tall Ships Races.

This year opportunities will be available to join the Swan and Christian Radich during The Tall Ships Races on the race leg between Kristiansand, Norway and Hartlepool, UK in August.  Young people are being encouraged to sign up to the website mailing list now to receive news and application details once the scheme is launched at Easter.

Chairman of Sail Training Shetland, Peter Malcolmson said, “We are delighted to receive sponsorship from NB Communication Ltd to allow us to create an eye-catching website for Sail Training Shetland.  It is very useful for us to be able to use our website to show films, photos and reviews from previous sail trainees on their experiences onboard Tall Ships and to spread the word about the opportunities available for young people to join The Tall Ships.”

Managing Director of NB Communication Ltd, David Nicol said “we are very pleased to be supporting such an exciting charity that offers young people an opportunity to take part in The Tall Ships Races and to act as young ambassadors for Shetland now and into the future.”
